Job summary

GRAND VENTURE TECHNOLOGY (PENANG) SDN. BHD. is seeking a Supply Chain Executive to manage day-to-day procurement activities, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure on-time deliveries in our Penang operation.

You will analyze supplier capacity, follow up on POs, and support cost negotiations while maintaining accurate reports. A diploma or degree in related fields with at least two years' procurement experience in manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Purchasing, or other related fields.
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or logistics.
• Demonstrates good computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and the AutoCount Inventory/Store System.
• Possesses strong negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
• Well-organized, responsible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day communication with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Follow up on supplier POs, production status, material availability, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor supplier capacity and identify potential delivery or supply risks.
• Coordinate with suppliers on pull-in, push-out, urgent orders, and forecast requirements.
• Support sourcing activities and identify new suppliers and alternative sources.
• Request and compare supplier quotations for cost, MOQ, lead time, and payment terms.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Planning, Engineering, QA/SQE, and suppliers to resolve supply and quality issues.
• Support supplier evaluation based on Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Service (QCDS).
• Arrange and support supplier visits, capability assessments, and supplier performance reviews.
• Prepare regular supplier status reports, capacity updates, delivery reports, and shortage reports.
