Job summary

Toshiba Lifestyle Malaysia is seeking a Supply Chain Executive to support the Product Management team in end-to-end supply chain operations, including planning, procurement, and inventory management, with focus on licence renewals and product certification for overseas markets.

You will help implement supply chain strategies, monitor performance metrics, and coordinate activities across planning, logistics, and warehousing to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Procurement, or related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, logistics, or inventory management.
• Experience in product certification, licence renewal, or dealing with overseas factories/suppliers is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of supply chain processes, procurement, inventory, and logistics.
• Familiar with ERP systems / iBOS or other supply chain systems is an advantage.
• Good Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.
• Strong communication, coordination, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
• Good organizational skills and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Melayu. Bahasa Cina is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and executing supply chain strategies to meet business goals and KPIs.
• Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics and identify areas for process improvement.
• Coordinate daily activities across planning, logistics, and warehousing teams to ensure seamless flow of goods and information.
• Support projects focused on process automation, system integration, and continuous improvement.
• Assist in forecasting, demand planning, and production scheduling to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Manage inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits and cycle counts to ensure data accuracy.
• Work with sales and production teams to reconcile demand and supply plans, addressing bottlenecks or risks proactively.
• Support the sourcing and procurement processes, including negotiation of terms, pricing, and service agreements with key suppliers/factories.
• Monitor supplier performance and compliance, resolving issues related to quality, delivery, and invoicing.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction through strategic sourcing and vendor consolidation.
• Ensure all supply chain activities adhere to regulatory requirements, trade compliance laws, and company policies.
• Identify and assist in mitigating potential supply chain risks, such as natural disasters, geopolitical issues, or supplier failures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records for auditing purposes.
• Ensure all related reports & documents are provided by factory/suppliers in advance of 3 months before product launch; update renewal details into the system (iBOS).
• Liaise with related sectors/internal stakeholders to ensure smooth process flow.
• Respond to messages related to product suppliers/factories and find solutions if issues rise.
• Update weekly progress on required platform/system.

Job description

The Supply Chain Executive will be assisting the Product Management team in handling the end-to-end supply chain operations, including planning, procurement, inventory management, renewal of all related licences (Surveillance Audit to overseas factory & local warehouse), certification and Initial (New Product) certification for overseas markets. This role is critical for ensuring efficiency, reducing costs, maintaining high levels of customer service and delivery performance, and ensuring all related certifications are completed on time for new product launches or renewals.

1. Operations Management and Optimization

• Assist in developing and executing supply chain strategies to meet business goals and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
• Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, inventory turns, cost per unit) and identify areas for process improvement.
• Coordinate daily activities across planning, logistics, and warehousing teams to ensure seamless flow of goods and information.
• Support projects focused on process automation, system integration, and continuous improvement.

2. Inventory and Planning

• Assist in forecasting, demand planning, and production scheduling to maintain optimal inventory levels, minimizing stockouts and obsolescence.
• Manage inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits and cycle counts to ensure data accuracy within the systems.

4. Compliance and Risk Management

• Ensure all supply chain activities adhere to relevant regulatory requirements, trade compliance laws, and company policies.
• Identify and assist in mitigating potential supply chain risks, such as natural disasters, geopolitical issues, or supplier failures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records for auditing purposes.

5. Certifications Related Matters

• Ensure all related reports & documents are fully provided by factory (PD)/suppliers correctly in advance of 3 months before product launch for the applications.
• Ensure all renewal processes follow the required guidelines and update all renewed details into the system (iBOS).
• Liaise with the related sectors/internal stakeholders to ensure smooth process flow is completed.
• Respond to all messages related to product suppliers/factories and find solutions if there are issues raised.
• Update the progress weekly in the required platform/system.
