Job summary

Grand Venture Technology in Malaysia seeks a procurement professional to manage supplier relationships and ensure on-time delivery within a growing manufacturing environment.

You will follow up on POs, forecast requirements, negotiate terms, and coordinate with cross-functional teams. At least 2 years in procurement and strong Excel skills are preferred.

This role emphasizes supplier evaluation, cost optimization, and clear reporting through regular status and delivery reports.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in supply chain, logistics or related field.
• At least 2 years in procurement, purchasing, or logistics.
• Strong Excel and inventory system skills.
• Strong negotiation, communication and coordination abilities.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day communication and coordination with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Follow up on supplier POs, production status, material availability, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor supplier capacity and identify potential delivery or supply risks.
• Coordinate with suppliers on pull-in, push-out, urgent orders, and forecast requirements.
• Support sourcing activities and identify new suppliers and alternative sources.
• Request and compare supplier quotations for cost, MOQ, lead time, and payment terms.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Planning, Engineering, QA/SQE, and suppliers to resolve supply and quality issues.
• Support supplier evaluation based on Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Service (QCDS).
• Arrange and support supplier visits, capability assessments, and supplier performance reviews.
• Prepare regular supplier status reports, capacity updates, delivery reports, and shortage reports.

Job Requirements:

• Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor's Degreein Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Purchasing, or other related fields.
• At least 2 years of relevant working experiencein procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or logistics.
• Demonstrates good computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and the AutoCount Inventory/Store System.
• Possesses strong negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
• Well-organized, responsible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience in amanufacturing environmentwill be an added advantage.
