Job summary

PEM Fasteners is seeking a proactive Supply Chain intern to assist in sourcing and quotations, assist in PO processing, and monitor supplier delivery. You will coordinate with warehouse, update supplier databases, and support reporting.

This internship offers exposure to purchasing, inventory control, and process improvements within a structured environment. Strong communication and willingness to learn are required.

Qualifications

• Requires pursuit of diploma/degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Knowledge of purchasing, inventory, or supply chain concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing and obtaining supplier quotations.
• Support purchasing team in preparing POs and tracking approvals.
• Follow up with suppliers on order confirmations and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with Warehouse to ensure stock availability.
• Maintain supplier databases and purchasing records.
• Support evaluation of supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and service.
• Verify delivery documents and assist in matching invoices with goods received.
• Assist in preparing purchasing and inventory reports, including supplier performance and cost analysis.
• Monitor inventory movement and support stock reconciliation activities.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality management requirements.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Management.

• Assist in sourcing and obtaining quotations from suppliers for materials and services.
• Support the purchasing team in preparing Purchase Orders (POs) and monitoring approval status.
• Follow up with suppliers on order confirmations, delivery schedules, and shipment status.
• Coordinate with Warehouse and relevant departments to ensure adequate stock levels and timely material availability.
• Assist in maintaining and updating supplier databases, purchasing records, and documentation.

• Assist in preparing purchasing and inventory reports, including supplier performance and cost analysis.
