Job summary

VHR Consultancy Malaysia is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead the SCM team, drive end-to-end supply chain efficiency, and partner with regional teams on strategic initiatives. You will manage logistics, demand planning, vendor relations and customer service while ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of leadership in multinational supply chains, strong SAP/MS Excel skills, and a proven record of performance gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in supply chain, logistics, business administration or related field.
• Minimum 10 years in a management role within supply chain operations, multinational experience preferred.
• Proven leadership with track record of driving performance improvements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end supply chain processes for efficiency and cost control.
• Develop and implement customer service systems to maintain high satisfaction.
• Support inventory management and cost-saving initiatives.
• Collaborate with regional teams on strategic trade control activities and SCM projects.
• Review and finalize monthly demand forecasts with product specialists.

The role:

The Supply Chain Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing and driving the effectiveness of the Supply Chain (SCM) team to meet organizational objectives. This role oversees all areas of supply chain operations, including logistics, demand planning, vendor management, and customer service. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Supply Chain Manager ensures that processes comply with regulations, maintains high levels of customer satisfaction, and drives continuous improvements within the supply chain. This position requires a strong leadership with a solid background in supply chain management in a multinational environment, capable of developing effective plans and fostering a high-performance culture within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the end-to-end supply chain processes, focusing on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and implement effective customer service systems to maintain high customer satisfaction.
• Support inventory management and cost-saving initiatives.
• Collaborate with regional teams to implement strategic trade control activities and other projects related to SCM.
• Collaborate with product specialists to review and finalize monthly demand forecasts.
• Analyze stock requirements to ensure optimal inventory levels, supporting local customer needs while adhering to company policies.
• Work closely with 3PL providers to monitor and improve logistics performance.
• Manage relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and monitor vendor performance.
• Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring high service standards and compliance with internal controls.
• Coordinate with internal and external parties to resolve delivery and inventory issues.
• Ensure all SCM activities comply with local regulations and internal policies, including ISO and GDPMD requirements.
• Generate and analyze KPI reports to track SCM performance.
• Regularly review and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) to align with best practices.
• Lead and mentor a team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Oversee recruitment, training, and development of team members to meet organizational goals.
• Conduct regular team reviews, provide feedback, and manage performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the SCM team.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a management position within supply chain operations, preferably in a multinational company.
• Proven leadership experience with a history of driving performance improvements in a supply chain environment.
• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems, as well as MS Excel and Pivot Table.
• Familiarity with ISO & GDPMD requirements is advantageous.
• This role may require occasional travel for coordination with regional offices and stakeholders.
• Successful candidates will undergo a multi-stage interview process, including assessments, to ensure alignment with the company's leadership and performance expectations.
