Job summary

Kobay Technology in Malaysia is seeking a purchasing professional to manage daily procurement activities, including requisitions, PO processing, and delivery follow-up. You will coordinate with internal departments to support production needs and ensure timely material availability.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma or Degree in Purchasing or related field, 1–5 years in procurement, and strong negotiation and communication skills. Mandarin is an added advantage for supplier communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain purchasing docs: quotations, POs, invoices.
• Monitor supplier performance on delivery and quality.
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, Warehouse, Quality, and Engineering.

Manage daily purchasing activities, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders (PO) processing, order confirmation, and delivery follow-up.

Review purchase requests and ensure timely procurement of materials, components, and supplies according to operational requirements.

Liaise with suppliers on purchase orders, delivery schedules, pricing, quality issues, and payment terms.

Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any purchasing-related issues.

Process and maintain accurate purchasing documentation, including quotations, purchase orders, delivery records, and invoices.

Monitor supplier performance in terms of delivery, quality, and responsiveness.

Coordinate closely with internal departments such as Production, Planning, Warehouse, Quality, and Engineering to support production requirements.

Assist in price comparison and negotiation activities to achieve cost effectiveness.

Maintain updated supplier information and purchasing records in the system.

Requirements:

Diploma/Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum 1–5 years of experience in purchasing/procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of raw materials, components, and supplier qualification processes.

Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Able to work independently with good problem-solving skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.

Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage for supplier and customer communication.
