Job summary

Celestica Malaysia is hiring a supplier development specialist to drive performance improvements with key electronics suppliers. You will validate purchase orders, monitor line of balance, assess yield and capacity, and lead cross-functional teams to achieve world-class supplier capabilities.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience in manufacturing environments, and the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on-time, cost-effective improvements.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of an electronics manufacturing environment.
• Expert understanding of traffic and customs rules and regulations.
• Proficient with WORD, Excel, PowerPoint and multiple business applications.
• Strong understanding of internal and external customer requirements.
• Strong financial, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Ability to solve high complexity process/system problems using data/models.
• Ability to multitask while meeting deadlines and communicating effectively.

Responsibilities

• Drives performance improvement at our most critical suppliers by identifying and resolving complex systemic problems.
• Validate POs to support demand accuracy, measure and improve supplier Balance of Line and past-due metrics.
• Verify material and WIP positions, review yield/quality performance, and resolve capacity issues.
• Identify tooling gaps and ensure supplier has stable demand signals and improved look-ahead.
• Lead cross-functional projects to deliver world-class supplier performance and CAPEX efficiency.
• Report plans and results to leadership and interface with suppliers/customers at all levels.
• Use SAP, Rapid Response and Celestica databases for supplier performance analyses.
