Job summary

Advanced Energy in Malaysia seeks a Warehouse Supervisor to lead a team of 60–100 material handlers, owning receiving, putaway, kitting, and outbound shipments. You will drive inventory accuracy, coordinate with planning and purchasing, and monitor KPIs to ensure timely production support.

The role requires SAP/WMS experience, a production/operations background, and strong leadership to develop the workforce and sustain performance across sites.

Qualifications

• Lead a warehouse team of 60–100 material handlers.
• Experience with SAP warehouse module.
• Knowledge of demand-based manufacturing systems and MRP/WMS.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day warehouse operations, scheduling tasks and ensuring quality.
• Improve inventory accuracy and process efficiency; drive KPI performance.
• Coordinate cross-site communications and collaborations across planning/purchasing.
• Resolve problems and implement continuous improvement in warehouse processes.
• Ensure timely receiving, putaway, and outbound shipments.
• Develop talents, conduct evaluations, and address performance issues.
• Issue warnings and escalate to HR as needed.
• Travel may be required.

The candidate is responsible to lead, plan, manage and own the performance of warehouse workforce on all the activities and diligent execution of Receiving, Storage/Putaway, WO Kitting, Inter-Site Shipments, External Warehouses, Inventory Accuracy (both quantity & storage location) and FG Shipments tasks effectively and efficiently.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervises day-to-day operations of assigned team members, providing guidance, scheduling tasks, and ensuring work output meets quality and performance standards.
• Continuous improvement of warehouse processes, inventory management (accuracy), warehouse tools/systems enhancement and efficiency of the workforce.
• Cross function and inter-site communications and collaborations.
• Problem solving capability.
• Ensure the warehouse workforce execute the timely receiving transactions (physically & electronically), putaway accurately, supply WO material kits to production timely and outbound shipments prepared & shipped out on time.
• Talents retention and development.
• Responsible for monitoring individual and team performance, conducting evaluations, and initiating performance-related discussions and improvement plans.
• Has authority to issue warnings and recommend disciplinary actions, including escalations to HR or higher management when needed.
• Warehouse operations’ performance indicators (KPIs).
• Daily and weekly warehouse inventory value monitoring, control and escalation.
• Daily collaboration with Planning & Purchasing Departments to monitor and control incoming inventory.
• Minimally, to present monthly forecast on workforce and storage space analyses to align with business needs.
• Travel may be required.
• Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.
• Regularly accesses confidential workforce information such as scheduling decisions, manpower planning, disciplinary records, and business priorities.
• Other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to present ideas in a structured and persuasive manner, both orally and in writing.
• Capability to respond quickly, decisively, assertively, and professionally to changing requirements.
• Ability to manage and lead a team of 60~100 Material Handlers.
• Ability to organize, schedule, coordinate, and negotiate effectively and to set priorities in a manner which ensures maximum performance and goal accomplishment.
• Proficient experience of SAP warehouse module.
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of demand-based manufacturing systems.
• Strong Leadership to drive warehouse workforce to achieve the desired performance excellence and to initiate problem solving forum with cross function and inter-sites’ peers and leaders.
• Multi-Tasking capability.
• Ability to motivate the workforce to enhance their morale.
• Ability and proactive to engage and effectively resolve conflict situations and employee disciplinary and performance issues.

EXPERIENCE

• 3 - 5 years of warehouse supervisor experience.
• Experience with proper handling of static sensitive material preferred.
• Experience in MRP system, WMS and SAP is mandatory.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor Science in Business Administration, Production/Operations Management (or closely related field).
