Hartalega, the world’s leading nitrile glove manufacturer, seeks a Supervisor for Quality Control and Packing to oversee the Online Packing section and ensure adherence to written work instructions.

You will supervise Packers, Inspectors and Group Leaders, coordinate packing plans, train staff, maintain a clean, organized area, and report equipment needs to management.

• Supervisory and leadership experience in manufacturing or packaging settings.
• Strong people skills and ability to train staff.
• Knowledge of planning and packing processes.
• Able to read, write and speak BM and BI.

• Verify and monitor the work by Group Leaders and Inspectors.
• Handle and follow up on issues from Group Leaders.
• Review all checklists and reports on a timely basis.
• Assist in organizing and planning work in online and final packing areas.
• Provide on-the-job training to Packers, Inspectors, Group Leaders and support operators.
• Ensure packing procedures and methods are implemented and followed.
• Maintain clean and tidy packing areas and proper storage, labeling and segregation of products.
• Inform management of equipment repair or calibration needs.
• Conduct probationary appraisals for workers.
• Perform any other assigned tasks.

Job Description

OVERVIEW

• To supervise and control the activities at the Online Packing section.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure all packing workers are performed their jobs according to the written work instruction.
• To place packaging materials from the store by based on the packing plan.
• Verify and monitor the work done by Group Leaders and Inspectors.
• To handle and follow up on the problems forwarded by Group Leaders.
• Checked and reviewed all checklist and reports by Group Leader and below by timely basis.
• Assist Executive/Engineer/Senior Executive/Engineer in organizing and planning the work in online and final packing area.
• To provide on the job training to the Packers, Inspectors, Group Leaders other support operators.
• To ensure packing procedure and packing method are implemented and practiced.
• Ensure storage, packaging, online and final packing area are clean and tidy at all times.
• Ensure the product is stored, labelled and segregated at designated area.
• Ensure worker is handle products in correct manner and not causing any damage or contamination onto the products.
• Inform to Executive/Engineer or Manager for any equipment need to be repair, service or calibrate.
• To conduct appraisal for the worker during probationer period.
• Any other task that may be assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

• Minimum SPM or equivalent working experience.

Work Experience:

• Preferable with working experience in glove manufacturing plant for at least 3-4 years

Technical and Professional Knowledge:

• Supervisory skills
• Good in human relation skill
• Knowledge in planning.
• Able to read, write and speak in BM and BI.
