Job summary

Hartalega Holdings Berhad in Malaysia is seeking a sustainability professional to monitor and improve ESG metrics, tracking energy use, waste, and resource efficiency. You will build knowledge of sustainability initiatives and identify cost-saving opportunities through greener practices.

You will work with management to define goals, report on performance, collect and analyze data, prepare reports, and communicate results to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainable Development, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant sustainability experience.
• Fresh graduates will be considered.
• Understanding of sustainability frameworks and practices.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and measure ESG rating and sustainability indicators such as energy and waste.
• Assist in building and maintaining knowledge of sustainability initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for cost saving and sustainable practices.
• Work with management to define goals and metrics for sustainability and governance.
• Collect and analyze company-wide data on sustainability programs for senior management.
• Assist in preparing sustainability reports, benchmarking and improvements.
• Support development of reports or presentations to communicate effectiveness.
• Promote sustainability initiatives and participate in strategy communication.
• Perform ad hoc investigations on areas of concern and support superior.

Job Description

OVERVIEW

• Monitor and work on ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) rating by ascertaining and measuring sustainability efforts and monitor sustainability indicators, such as energy usage, natural resource usage, waste generation, recycling, etc.
• Assist to build and maintain comprehensive knowledge of sustainability initiatives and programs.
• Identify opportunities for cost saving, more sustainable practices and create new sustainability indicators.
• Work closely with management to develop appropriate goals, metrics and process for measuring the Company’s performance with respect to sustainability including safety, health, environmental, social and governance.
• Collect and analyse company-wide data on sustainability initiatives and programs and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to provide senior management with relevant analysis and recommendations on sustainability programs and reporting.
• Assist in preparation of sustainability related reports, benchmarking and identify improvements.
• Assist in development of reports or presentations to communicate and raise awareness on effectiveness of sustainability initiatives.
• Assist in communicating and promoting sustainability initiatives and programs; participate in the development of a sustainability communication strategy.
• Performs ad hoc work and investigations on areas of concerns as and when required.
• Any other tasks that assigned by superior.
  

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainable Development or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience with exposure of working on sustainability.
• Fresh graduate will be considered.
• Understanding and knowledge in sustainability framework and practices.
