Job summary

Michael Page is representing a well-established multinational organisation seeking a Professional Accountant – Sub Ledger in Kuala Lumpur. The role focuses on managing sub-ledger accounting, handling supplier and customer inquiries, and ensuring accurate financial records.

The successful candidate will have 3–5 years in AP/AR or related areas, strong ERP and Excel capabilities, and keen attention to detail to ensure compliance with policies and standards across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• 3–5 years in AP/AR or shared services.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage sub-ledger accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Serve as contact for supplier and customer inquiries related to invoices, payments, collections, and reconciliations.
• Perform reconciliations of AP/AR balances and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Plan and execute payments to suppliers and service providers.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial data.
• Provide guidance on sub-ledger-related queries.
