Job summary

Wilhelmsen Global Business Services Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage full sets of accounts, monthly close, and accurate financial reporting. You will prepare journal entries, monitor GL activity, and support tax/compliance tasks within a globally connected team.

Based in Kuala Lumpur, the role offers a 5-day week with a hybrid arrangement (3 days in the office, 2 days remotely) and opportunities for learning and development in an international environment.

Qualifications

• Prepare and maintain full sets of accounts including accurate daily AR/AP processing.
• Perform monthly and annual financial closing activities.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
• Ensure timely and accurate management reports and financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Balance sheet reconciliations monthly; investigate outstanding items.
• Review and monitor accounts payable and receivable; ensure timely payments/collections.
• Assist in tax returns and statutory compliance; liaise with auditors/regulators.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and internal controls.
• Support finance transformation initiatives and ERP implementations.
