Job summary

Michael Page International (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd seeks a General Ledger Accountant to manage daily accounting operations, close month-end activities, and prepare financial reports. The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of US GAAP and local GAAP, and excellent English communication. Based in Shah Alam, you will liaise with auditors and support process improvements.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, independent, and able to work in a fast-paced SSC environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Finance and/or Accounting operations.
• Solid knowledge of US GAAP and local GAAP standards.
• Strong English communication skills across levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute day-to-day accounting operations including fixed assets, depreciation, and GL postings.
• Ensure timely month-end closing and preparation of monthly financial statements.
• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports per deadlines.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, analysis, and variance reviews.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls, regulations, and policies.
• Coordinate with internal/external auditors and address audit queries.
• Support process improvements and system automation projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders for reporting accuracy.
