Job summary

Outsourced is seeking a skilled Draftsperson to join our multi-disciplinary team in Kuala Lumpur. You will prepare detailed Structural and Civil drawings in REVIT and AutoCAD, coordinate with the Vantage team and clients to ensure high-quality documentation.

With a minimum of 5 years in a consultancy setting, you will review project information, liaise with designers and authorities, and help maintain our quality control standards across all drawings and transmittals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a consultancy environment.
• Knowledge of documentation procedures to produce high-standard drawings.
• Knowledgeable in reinforced concrete, timber, steel, masonry and related materials.
• Proactive, initiative-taking team player who aids designers in identifying anomalies and set-out discrepancies.
• Excellent communication and ability to liaise with stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drawings in coordination with the Designer and Senior Draftsperson.
• Review all conditions and correspondence in the current file.
• Check information supplied by client, surveyor, architect or other sub-consultant for final design impacts.
• Liaise with consultants, authorities and stakeholders to obtain information for project completion.
• Ensure correct filing and document transmittals per policy and quality control.
• Manage transfer of drawings including transmittals and logging in drawings per QC.

Job description

• Structural and Civil drafting in REVIT and AutoCAD for multi-disciplinary projects ranging in size from $500K-$20 million.
• Co-ordinating projects with the Vantage team and working collaboratively with all stakeholders and employees of the firm to promote teamwork and documentation standards that are commensurate with current industry practices and standards.
• Sound skills and a knowledge of REVIT and AutoCAD including the interfacing with other Software programs on the market.
• Exceptional time management skills and working to set project schedules.
• The ability to work autonomously, professional and a broad understanding of construction practices.
• The Draftsperson shall review all conditions and correspondence in the current file.
• The Draftsperson shall check information supplied by the client, surveyor, architect or other sub-consultant to identify details that may affect the final design.
• The Draftsperson shall liaise with all associated consultants, persons, council and government bodies as required to obtain information for the purposes of completing a project associated with digital documentation information.
• Liaise with the designer in the clarification of briefing sketches and data.
• Preparation of detailed drawings in coordination with the Designer and Senior Draftsperson as necessary.
• Senior Review of Draftsperson. check prints related to all instructions in sketch or written form received from the Designer or Liaise as necessary with associated authorities or consultants as directed by the responsible Project Manager.
• Ensure completed that in client accordance and other with consultant Company Policy supplied plans are filed correctly and Document Transmittals.
• Responsible for all transfer of drawings including transmittals and logging in drawings in accordance with our quality control systems.

Qualifications & experience:

• The candidate would have a minimum of 5 years industry experience working in a consulting environment.
• Have strong skills and understanding of the documentation procedures to produce documentation of a high standard.
• Knowledgeable in Reinforced Concrete, Timber, Steel, Masonry and other related materials.
• Be proactive and take the initiative and a team player that actively assists the designer in identifying anomalies, Setout discrepancies and have a good understanding of framing etc.
• Ambitious, energetic, a good communicator and able to deliver articulated direct messages clearly while liaising with the stakeholders of the business to achieve a successful outcome for the business.
