Job summary

Arup is seeking an experienced Technical Director - Structural to head the Property (Central) Structures team in Kuala Lumpur. You will drive technical excellence, client engagement, and operational leadership for a globally respected practice.

The role requires a degree in Structural Engineering, PEPC registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia, and proven leadership in tall building design. You will mentor staff, guide complex projects, and contribute to Arup’s strategic growth across

Qualifications

• Degree in Structural Engineering required.
• Extensive experience in tall buildings and consultancy leadership preferred.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive profitability.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and grow the Property (Central) Structures team in Kuala Lumpur.
• Drive business development by identifying opportunities and building client relationships.
• Guide delivery of complex structural designs ensuring quality, sustainability and compliance.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and foster a collaborative culture.
• Represent Arup at industry events and coordinate with stakeholders across geographies.
