Job summary

Arup is seeking an experienced Technical Director - Structural to head the Property (Central) Structures team in Kuala Lumpur. You will drive technical excellence, client engagement, and operational leadership for a globally respected practice.

The role requires a degree in Structural Engineering, PEPC registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia, and proven leadership in tall building design. You will mentor staff, guide complex projects, and contribute to Arup’s strategic growth across

• Lead, manage, and grow a high-performing structural engineering team focused on property and tall building projects

• Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-impact team culture
• Represent Arup at industry events and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across disciplines and geographies

Is this role right for you?

• A degree in Structural Engineering and registration as a PEPC with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia
• Extensive experience in the structural design of tall buildings and consultancy leadership
• Proven commercial acumen with the ability to drive profitability and identify market trends
• Strong communication and strategic thinking skills, with experience influencing clients and stakeholders
• A solid understanding of the Malaysian market and a strong professional network within the industry
