Job summary

LTH GROUP HOLDINGS SDN BHD is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to prepare and review precast detailing, perform structural design and load calculations, and ensure compliance with project specs and MS/Eurocode standards.

You will coordinate with consultants and production teams, review drawings in AutoCAD, submit RFIs, participate in site inspections, and support QA/QC while maintaining thorough documentation. Occasional site visits may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 2-3 years of precast/construction experience preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and review structural, architectural, and shop drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with MS/Eurocode standards.
• Good communication and coordination skills; able to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review precast detailing, including reinforcement, connections, embedded items, lifting provisions, and fabrication requirements.
• Perform structural design and load calculations for precast concrete elements.
• Ensure designs and shop drawings comply with project specs, approved drawings, and relevant standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, contractors, and project teams on technical matters.
• Prepare and submit RFIs for technical clarification and follow up on responses and approvals.
• Participate in site inspections and provide technical support during precast installation and construction.
• Review AutoCAD amendments for coordination and technical purposes.
• Assist with shop drawing submissions, revisions, approvals, and drawing status tracking.
• Conduct customer site visits to resolve technical or installation issues.
• Support QA/QC in resolving non-conformance and other quality issues.
• Maintain records of drawings, calculations, RFIs, submissions, approvals, and revisions.
• Perform other technical duties as assigned.

Job description

Prepare and review precast detailing, including reinforcement, connections, embedded items, lifting provisions, and fabrication requirements.

Perform structural design and load calculations for precast concrete elements where required.

Ensure precast designs and shop drawings comply with project specifications, approved drawings, and relevant engineering standards.

Coordinate with consultants, architects, contractors, and project teams on technical and drawing-related matters.

Prepare and submit RFIs for technical clarification and follow up on responses and approvals.

Participate in site inspections and provide technical support to Production Teams during precast installation and construction phases

Review and make necessary AutoCAD amendments for coordination and technical purposes.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

2-3 years of experience in the precast concrete or construction industry is preferred.

Good understanding of precast concrete, reinforcement detailing, connections, and installation methods.

Able to read, interpret, and review structural, architectural, and shop drawings. Experience with structural design or calculation software will be an added advantage.

Proficient in AutoCAD, with the ability to make drawing amendments when required.

Familiar with relevant construction standards (MS/Eurocode).

Good technical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Good communication skills and able to coordinate with consultants, production teams, and site personnel.

Able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Willing to travel to project sites when required.
