Jora Malaysia seeks an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to lead precast shop drawing efforts. You will oversee preparation, checks, and revisions, ensuring accuracy against architectural/structural drawings and project specs.
You will coordinate with consultants, engineers, and production teams to resolve technical issues and ensure constructibility. Role requires 8–10 years in Civil/Structural design with precast experience, strong leadership, and proficiency in AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, ETABS,

Oversee and manage the preparation, checking, coordination, and revision of precast shop drawings, including reinforcement details, connection details, dimensions, sections, and fabrication requirements.
Ensure all precast shop drawings are prepared accurately and in accordance with approved architectural and structural drawings, project specifications, and relevant standards.
Coordinate with consultants, engineers, production teams, and project/site teams to resolve technical issues and discrepancies related to precast shop drawings.
Review consultant comments and ensure all required revisions and amendments to precast shop drawings are properly incorporated.
Ensure precast shop drawings are practical, constructible, and suitable for production and installation.
Manage and monitor the shop drawing submission and approval process, ensuring drawings are submitted and revised within the required project timeline.
Provide technical guidance to Design Engineers and Drafters in the preparation and development of precast shop drawings.
Coordinate with the production team to ensure the approved shop drawings are properly translated into precast manufacturing requirements.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Civil & Structural Engineering or equivalent.
Professional Engineer (Ir.) registration with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) will be an added advantage.
Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in Civil & Structural Design, preferably with experience in the precast concrete / construction industry.
Strong knowledge of structural design, reinforced concrete, precast concrete, structural detailing, and construction practices.
Strong knowledge of relevant Malaysian Standards, Eurocodes, and engineering requirements.
Proficient in relevant engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, ETABS, Tekla, or equivalent.
Experience in reviewing structural calculations, design drawings, shop drawings, and technical submissions.
Strong technical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Good leadership and team management skills with the ability to lead Engineers and Drafting Teams.
Excellent communication and coordination skills when dealing with consultants, clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Able to manage multiple projects and work effectively under tight deadlines.
Strong attention to detail with a practical and solution-oriented approach.
Willing to travel to project sites when required.
