Job summary

Eastern Pretech (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a QA/QC professional to oversee all precast production activities at Seelong, Senai. You will ensure compliance with IMS and ISO standards, manage testing, and maintain rigorous QA/QC documentation.

You will drive continuous improvement through NCRs, CAPA, and effective coordination with production, design, and site teams, while supporting internal and external audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field with BEM registration.
• Minimum 3 years of QA/QC experience in precast concrete or construction.
• Good knowledge of precast production processes and concrete technology.
• Familiar with ISO standards, especially ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Experience in material testing and laboratory work.
• Good documentation and reporting skills.
• Strong coordination and communication abilities.
• Detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with ISO 22301 BCMS would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with IMS, company procedures, and work instructions including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 22301.
• Oversee precast production process from materials to final product.
• Ensure precast elements meet drawings, specs, and tolerance; conduct pre-delivery inspections.
• Monitor quality tests (compressive strength, sieve analysis, moisture, etc.) and ensure alignment with mix design.
• Maintain traceability and QA/QC documentation including test reports and KPI tracking.
• Identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and manage NCRs with CAPA.
• Coordinate with production, design, laboratory, and site teams; act as main quality contact.
• Support audits and ISO BCMS activities; contribute to contingency planning.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the company Integrated Management System (IMS), company procedures, and work instructions, including implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 22301, as well as relevant standards such as MS/BS EN, ASTM, ACI and other related standard and references.
• Oversee the entire precast production process, from incoming materials (cement, aggregates, steel, admixtures, repair materials), through batching, casting, prestressing, curing, demoulding, finishing, and final product.
• Ensure all precast elements comply with approved drawings, specifications, and tolerance requirements, including conducting pre-delivery and joint inspections in line with the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITP).
• Monitor and verify quality tests such as compressive strength, sieve analysis, moisture, silt, organic content, and reinforcement testing ensuring compliance with mix design and project requirements.
• Maintain traceability of precast elements and manage QA/QC documentation, including test reports, inspection records, material certificates, and KPI tracking (e.g., defects and rejections).
• Identify defects and recurring issues, perform root cause analysis, and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) with corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), while driving continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with production, design, laboratory, and site teams, and act as the main quality contact between factory, clients, consultants, and inspectors.
• Support and participate internal and external audits, ensure risk identification , and contribute to ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) activities such as contingency planning , recovery drills and others.
• Supervise QA/QC personnel involved in laboratory testing and inspection activities
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the management from time to time.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with BEM registration.
