Jora Malaysia seeks a seasoned civil/structural engineer to lead and oversee precast shop drawings. You will review reinforcement details, dimensions, and connections to ensure accuracy and constructability, aligning with approved drawings and project requirements.
You will coordinate with consultants, architects, clients, and project teams on technical matters, raise RFIs, review comments, and ensure updates are properly reflected in drawings, guiding engineers and drafters to meet deadlines.

Lead and oversee the preparation and checking of precast shop drawings.
Review reinforcement, connection details, dimensions, sections, and fabrication details to ensure accuracy and constructability.
Ensure shop drawings follow the approved structural/architectural drawings and project requirements.
Coordinate with consultants, architects, clients, and project teams on technical matters.
Raise and follow up on RFI and technical queries with consultants.
Review consultant comments and ensure the required changes are properly updated in the shop drawings.
Identify and resolve technical issues, drawing discrepancies, and clashes before production.
Liaise with the Production Team to ensure shop drawings are suitable for manufacturing.
Provide technical support on precast reinforcement, connections, moulds, lifting points, and installation requirements.
Coordinate with Site and Project Teams to resolve issues during installation and construction.
Monitor shop drawing submission, revision, and approval status to meet project deadlines.
Guide and support Engineers and Drafters in preparing and updating shop drawings.
Check and make minor amendments to AutoCAD drawings when required.
Coordinate with the QAQC Team on technical issues, defects, and non-conformance related to precast components.
Maintain proper records of drawings, RFI, comments, revisions, and approvals.
Requirements:
Degree in Civil Engineering / Civil & Structural Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in precast concrete or construction.
Strong experience in precast shop drawings and reinforcement detailing.
Good knowledge of precast components, connections, fabrication, and installation.
Able to read and understand structural and architectural drawings.
Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.
Good understanding of relevant Malaysian Standards / Eurocodes.
Strong technical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
Able to communicate and coordinate well with consultants, production, site, and project teams.
Able to guide and supervise Engineers and Drafters.
Able to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Willing to travel to project sites when required.
Precast concrete experience will be an added advantage.
