Job summary

ASICS MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking a seasoned supply chain professional in Kuala Lumpur to plan production schedules, manage POs, and liaise between factories and customers. You will drive procurement policies, monitor inbound shipments, and ensure PO accuracy and MOQ compliance.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in supply chain, procurement, and order management, and proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office. Strong negotiation and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, and order management, preferably in a retail environment.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing practices, vendor sourcing, and negotiation techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong planning, organizational, and time management capabilities.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare production schedules for manufacturing factories.
• Ensure timely submission of Purchase Orders.
• Act as a liaison between Manufacturing factories and Customers, relaying information regarding production delays, cancellations, etc.
• Manage Purchase Orders by promoting and reviewing policies, SOPs, and work instructions for outbound operations.
• Oversee inbound shipments, including PO creation, loading and shipping, shipment monitoring, and COO applications while monitoring dock-to-stock lead times.
• Validate all customer purchase orders, ensuring items, colour, size, and MOQ compliance.
• Measure, monitor, and drive LSPs and 3PLs against KPIs.
• Set goals aligned with department goals and ensure they are met.
• Update and distribute the Order Tracking (OTL) weekly report.
• Coordinate with forwarders and factories regarding transportation of merchandise.
• Initiate and execute a Demand Planning / S&OP program.
• Assist in transport management for international freight, including sourcing and recommendations.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with policies, budget, and regulations.
• Prepare procurement reports, conduct spend analysis and supplier performance reports.
• Perform other duties as needed by management.
