Job summary

Penguin Solutions is seeking a Supply Chain Executive in Malaysia to oversee timely procurement and delivery of materials, ensuring optimal inventory levels. The role collaborates with suppliers, production, planning, logistics, and cross-functional teams to support operational commitments.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years in manufacturing, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and familiarity with SAP.

Qualifications

Degree in Purchasing Management or a related field.

Responsibilities

Review and analyze purchase requisitions, issue purchase orders, and manage rescheduling based on MRP demand.
Ensure products are purchased from the Approved Vendor List unless a deviation is approved.
Monitor inventory levels and review shortages and excess inventory.
Review aging and slow-moving inventory.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, pricing, and quality.
Escalate shortages, constraints, or quality issues to supervisor.
Source new or alternative products with existing suppliers to maintain competitiveness.
Understand assigned suppliers, their capabilities, market trends, and related technologies.
Drive continuous improvement in purchasing processes, supplier delivery, and cost.
Support department goals related to inventory, cost, quality, and supplier performance.
Comply with Purchasing Policy.
