Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a procurement professional to manage spend, negotiate costs, and drive supplier agreements for MRO and Cleanroom products in Malaysia. You will partner with category leads to identify savings opportunities and ensure timely tender responses and price references.

You will own top spend segments, build aligned pipelines with KAMs, and onboard new suppliers as needed to meet customer savings obligations while supporting project timelines and dashboards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related discipline.
• Experience with MRO products and cleanroom environments is preferred.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills with vendor management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage spend for assigned customers and drive cost savings.
• Collaborate with Category leads to implement SKU changes and supplier changes as needed.
• Ensure timely tender responses and price guideline adherence for projects.
• Act as voice of customer to support category planning and growth opportunities.
• Maintain documentation for onboarding new suppliers and project timelines.

This role is about finding the right parts, negotiating costs, developing agreements, managing strategic vendors and supporting projects. You leverage the potential of suppliers and develop strong win-win relationships that will allow for cost saving and margin improvement.

Key responsibilities:

• Responsible and accountable for managing the spend and aligned savings obligation based on assigned customers.
• Partner with Category leads to identify, streamline and drive the implementation of SKU and roll out product change whenever appropriate
• Accountable for meeting customer savings obligation by leveraging on market insight, categories strategies and recommendation by Category leads
• Provides timely response to meet new project and customer tender and requests with insight and pricing guideline from Category leads
• Act as voice of customer to Category lead to support category planning and growth opportunities.
• Ensure categories classification are understood and consistently applied to ensure compliance with operational needs
• Accountable for top 80% assigned spend
• Establish aligned pipeline with Key Account Managers (KAM) in meeting the savings obligation for customer
• Ensure all documentations are understood to support operational needs. E.g. review B001 and ensure new suppliers for project implementation is onboarded as needed
• Ensure project implementation are implemented per aligned timeline.
• Ensure project dashboards are updated promptly to provide timely project status updates
• Submit tender on a timely basis and ensure competitive rates are submitted through price list referencing and RFQ process

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related discipline
• Experience in MRO / Cleanroom products
