Job summary

LENOG in Malaysia is seeking a procurement professional to prepare and issue RFQs to suppliers based on clients' requirements and specifications. You will follow up on quotations, ensure technical datasheets are submitted, and build strong supplier relationships to obtain faster responses and better terms.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
• 1-2 years of relevant sourcing or procurement experience, preferably in oil & gas, manufacturing or engineering sectors.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, datasheets and drawings related to equipment, parts or materials.
• Basic product and material knowledge in oil and gas industry.
• Able to handle urgent sourcing enquiry.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue RFQs to suppliers based on clients' requirements and specifications.
• Follow up with suppliers regarding quotation submissions and clarifications.
• Ensure all technical documents, such as technical datasheets (if applicable), are submitted together with the quotation.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers to obtain priority treatment, such as faster quotation responses and expedited deliveries.
• Estimate logistics costs accurately.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery timelines with suppliers to optimize cost and value.
• Create and issue Purchase Orders in alignment with quotations, delivery schedules, and internal approval processes.
• Track delivery schedules and update the Purchase Order status.
