Job summary

Responsibilities include optimizing logistics, supporting JIT manufacturing, and improving supplier quality while maintaining strong communication with internal teams. The role requires 2+ years in procurement and a related bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years procurement experience preferred.
• Experience in direct material, vendor development and technical.
• Proficient with AS400 (MRP), Infor LN and Zycus.
• Proficient in MS Office and purchasing software.
• Strong attention to detail for contracts and procurement processes.
• Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assess and qualify vendors based on capacity, quality standards, financial stability, and ability to meet delivery schedules.
• Facilitate onboarding of new vendors ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
• Work with local suppliers to optimize costs, reduce logistics, duties, and currency risks.
• Leverage local market knowledge to negotiate competitive pricing without compromising quality or safety.
• Facilitate smooth process for new model development and localization of existing model support.
• Assess quality control processes of local suppliers to meet benchmarks.
• Establish efficient logistics and inventory systems to support JIT manufacturing.
• Optimize local supply chain to reduce lead times and transport costs.
