Job summary

Private Advertiser in Johor Bahru seeks an experienced purchasing professional to manage daily procurement activities, source suppliers, and process purchase orders. You will negotiate terms, monitor delivery performance, and coordinate with Production, Planning, Warehouse and Engineering to ensure material availability.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Degree in a related field and has 3–5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in manufacturing. on-site role in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in a related field.
• 3–5 years of purchasing/procurement experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily purchasing activities including purchase requisition review, supplier sourcing and purchase order processing.
• Source, evaluate and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality and delivery performance.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms and commercial conditions with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and follow up on outstanding orders.
• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Warehouse and Engineering teams to ensure timely material availability.
• Review inventory levels and support purchasing decisions to prevent material shortages or excess stock.
• Prepare and maintain purchasing records, reports and documentation.
• Handle supplier issues including delivery delays, quality concerns and order discrepancies.
• Support cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
