Job summary

Swagelok Malaysia is seeking a procurement leader to drive cost-effective, timely purchasing and ensure compliance with company policies. You will lead supplier selection, negotiation, contract management, and performance reviews to secure reliable inputs.

You will develop sourcing strategies, monitor metrics, expand the supplier base, and coach the procurement team to sustain operational excellence across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years procurement experience, with at least 2 years in manufacturing.
• Engineering background is an added advantage with ability to read drawings.
• Proven track record in supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.
• Strong knowledge of procurement policies, compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Strong data analytics skills to drive decisions and measure performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the procurement team to develop and execute strategies for cost-effective, timely purchasing.
• Oversee supplier selection, contract management, and performance evaluation.
• Drive price negotiations and PO execution to achieve optimal value.
• Ensure adherence to Swagelok policies and internal controls.
• Develop and monitor metrics to drive cost efficiency and procurement performance.
• Plan, prioritize, and report activities to highlight supply risks and communicate with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with finance and logistics to resolve discrepancies in payments and receiving.
• Expand supplier base and manage supplier development plans.
• Coach and develop the procurement team to support organizational objectives.
