Solarvest is seeking a Strategic Procurement Planner in Malaysia to elevate procurement from a transactional function to a strategic driver across EPC tendering. You will lead category management, build decision-ready dashboards, and implement automated workflows to improve cost, resilience, and project outcomes.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business administration, or related field.
• Master’s degree or professional certification (CIPS/CSCP/CPIM/CPSM) is an added advantage.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.
• Experience in category management, supplier negotiation, and contract management.
• Experience in project-based or EPC procurement environments is strongly preferred.
• Background in solar, renewable energy, or utilities sector is an advantage.
• Proficient in ERP systems and procurement platforms (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
• Strong command of data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of cost modelling, TCO frameworks, and PPV management.
• Familiarity with contract law fundamentals and procurement governance in regulated environments.

• Elevate procurement from transactional to strategic through category management and data-driven decision support.
• Translate supply chain data into insights, risks, and actionable recommendations.
• Prepare weekly executive summaries covering decisions, cost movements, risks, and supply constraints.
• Drive standardisation of reporting formats and cadence across all active projects.
• Design and implement automated workflows for RFQ, sourcing, cost comparison, bid evaluation, and supplier performance tracking.
• Evaluate procurement processes and site performance; perform gap analyses and improvement plans.
• Improve ERP utilisation; integrate procurement data across functions to eliminate silos.
• Reduce manual processes and improve cycle time, accuracy, and auditability.
• Lead negotiations for key packages and manage TCO/PPV insights.
• Develop supplier scorecards and governance processes.
• Monitor market trends and identify risks and opportunities.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and contract governance standards.
