Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia is seeking a Sales Manager to drive technical sales, business development and project opportunity management within water treatment, pumps, piping and related industrial projects. The role combines client engagement, strategic bidding and cross-functional collaboration to secure new and repeat business.

The position offers a hands-on, field-based leadership track with potential Senior Sales Engineer or Manager level depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical, Chemical or related engineering discipline.
• Proven record of leading and mentoring a team of sales professionals.
• Proactive, hands-on hunter mindset focused on new business acquisition and market expansion.
• History of meeting or exceeding monthly KPIs and revenue targets with quantified achievements.

Responsibilities

• Develop new customers, markets and opportunities across Malaysia and selected overseas markets.
• Manage inquiries, technical discussions, quotations and follow-up through the sales cycle.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable engineering products or solutions.
• Conduct product presentations and technical discussions with customers, consultants and contractors.
• Build and maintain relationships with key project stakeholders to generate new and repeat business.
• Coordinate with internal teams to progress opportunities from enquiry to project completion.
• Identify new applications, market segments and potential channels for expansion.
• Represent the company at exhibitions, conferences and industry events.
