Job summary

MB Automation (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a procurement professional to manage direct and indirect sourcing, negotiate terms with suppliers, and maintain SAP records for ongoing projects.

The role requires a diploma or bachelor’s degree in business or supply chain and proven sourcing experience. Responsibilities include supplier assessments, contract negotiations, and ensuring on-time delivery of materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Business Studies, Administration, Management, or Supply Chain.
• Proven experience in direct and indirect sourcing and end-to-end procurement processes.
• Experience sourcing electrical/electronic components is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conferring with suppliers to obtain prices, specifications, and product details.
• Negotiating prices, contracts, and delivery terms to achieve optimal procurement outcomes.
• Sourcing and evaluating potential suppliers for direct and indirect materials/services for best value.
• Maintaining complete and updated purchasing records, supplier data, and pricing in SAP system.
• Coordinating with user departments and suppliers for project-related purchasing scope.
• Supporting relevant departments with quotations for tenders and proposals.
• Coordinating with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Issuing purchase orders in accordance with technical specifications and requirements.
• Identifying and sourcing new parts, suppliers, or subcontractors when required.
