Job summary

JAC Recruitment is seeking a Project Planner / Scheduler for a leading rare earth materials producer in Malaysia. The role focuses on developing and maintaining schedules, tracking progress, and supporting project controls across capital projects.

You will prepare look-ahead schedules, forecast resources, and deliver executive-level reports while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years in Project Planning, Scheduling, or Project Controls.
• Experience in mining/resources/industrial environments preferred.
• Proven ability to develop/maintain schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Strong understanding of planning, scheduling, EVM, CPM, and risk analysis.
• Excellent English communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update integrated project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools.
• Monitor progress, milestones, and schedule performance against baselines.
• Identify deviations, risks, and recovery plans; support look-ahead and forecasts.
• Prepare dashboards, reports, and governance materials for stakeholders.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
