Job summary

VC Engineering Sdn. Bhd. seeks a seasoned Project Scheduler to develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project to ensure on-time delivery and accurate progress tracking.

You will prepare comprehensive control reports, analyze CPM, EVM, and S-curves, support tender submissions, manage EOT claims, and mentor junior planners while coordinating with engineering, procurement, construction and commercial teams.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, or construction management within infrastructure, commercial, industrial, residential, or large-scale construction projects.
• Strong hands-on experience with Primavera P6, and/or Microsoft Project.
• Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM), Earned Value Management (EVM), schedule risk analysis, and project controls methodologies.
• Proven ability to develop, analyze, and interpret S-Curves, resource histograms, productivity trends, and project forecasting metrics.
• Sound knowledge of construction methodologies, procurement schedules, project sequencing, and contract administration.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to mentor junior staff and drive planning best practices across projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, monitor, and update project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Prepare and present project control reports including CPM analyses, EVM, S-curves, and dashboards.
• Analyze schedule and performance data to identify delays, risks, and issues; collaborate with teams to mitigate.
• Support tender submissions with baseline schedules and resource-loaded plans.
• Lead schedule risk and opportunity assessments and recommend mitigations.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commercial teams to align execution and schedule.
• Mentor junior planners and promote planning best practices across projects.
