Job summary

Poet Technologies Pte Ltd in Penang seeks a Senior Production Planner to integrate production planning and procurement, balancing supply and demand to deliver timely, cost-effective manufacturing outputs.

You will develop detailed production schedules, monitor progress, lead S&OP meetings, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive improvements in capacity, materials availability, and lead times to meet global quality standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
8–12 years of experience in production planning, supply chain, or procurement.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with international exposure.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on forecasts, orders, and inventory levels.
Coordinate and monitor production activities to ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Track production progress, identify bottlenecks, and recommend efficiency improvements.
Adjust schedules proactively to manage machine downtime, material shortages, or urgent customer demands.
Lead preparation and execution of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings.
Support long-term demand and capacity planning aligned with business goals.
Manage procurement and sourcing activities to ensure material availability and cost targets.
Monitor and maintain accurate Bill of Material (BOM) cost and lead-time data.
Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and quality requirements.
Participate in global supply chain improvement projects, including ERP and planning tool implementations.
