Job summary

Tan Chong Group invites a Product Manager to lead business development for commercial vehicles in Malaysia. You will act as the primary liaison with principals and model introductions, coordinating technical evaluation, branding, pricing, and product promotion to support sales growth.

The role requires engineering or science background, 5–10 years in automotive, strong networking and communication, and the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering or science.
• 5–10 years in the automotive industry preferred; truck/bus experience advantageous.
• Good networking, communication, hands-on and self-motivated.
• Ability to prioritize and manage workload.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure.
• Willing to travel as needed.
• Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is a must.

Responsibilities

• Preparing business plan.
• Prepare and present market data to support the business plan.
• Prepare competitor product comparisons to support planning and development.
• Prepare product pricing with principals, sales, and marketing.
• Prepare and review related agreements.
• Coordinate the end-to-end process including technical evaluation and branding.
• Promote products and support sales inquiries from staff and customers.
• Support sales by explaining products and studying potential customizable variants.
