Job summary

INSUT (MALAYSIA) Sdn Bhd, a plastics injection molding and assembly specialist, is seeking a procurement professional. The role covers supplier sourcing, price negotiation, and performance monitoring to meet budgets and delivery terms.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma or related field with at least 2 years in manufacturing. Mandarin fluency is required for communicating with Chinese suppliers. We offer growth, training, and a performance bonus based on company results.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or any relevant field.
• At least 2 years’ experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably specialized in Plastic Injection Molding and experience working in manufacturing industry would be an added advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines and work with a minimum supervision.
• Fluency in mandarin (both spoken and written) is required for this position, as it involves communication with suppliers from China.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the procurement function, from pricing / vendor sourcing and selection to negotiating competitively and monitoring performance of suppliers in meeting agreed terms, budgets and delivery.
• Review quotations and to ensure the purchase requisition in accordance with company policies and standard of procedure.
• To take corrective and preventive action on the delivery of defective and unacceptable goods.
• Continually sourcing new materials in timely and costs effective manner.
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of suppliers based on factors such as quality, cost, reliability, and delivery performance, while adhering to company policies and procedures and promoting cost-saving initiatives.
