Job summary

Metier Food is seeking a proactive Procurement & Production Planning Executive in Malaysia to manage sourcing, purchasing, and inventory planning while aligning production schedules with demand.

The role oversees non-production purchases and requires strong negotiation, ERP/MRP skills, and knowledge of food safety standards. You will collaborate across QA, warehousing, and production teams to ensure timely delivery and cost control.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of procurement, material planning, or production planning experience.
• Experience in food/FMCG manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules based on forecasts, orders, inventory, and capacity.
• Source, evaluate, negotiate, and purchase raw materials and packaging.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders with accurate specs, quantities, and prices.
• Coordinate with production teams on capacity, priorities, and timelines.
• Monitor inventory levels and supplier performance to avoid shortages and delays.
• Ensure supplier compliance with food safety and regulatory standards.
• Maintain procurement records and generate weekly/monthly reports.
