Menz & Gasser Asia invites a meticulous Purchasing Executive to join our Malaysia procurement team in Bestari Jaya. You will support the Head of Purchasing in daily operations and drive strategic sourcing to secure quality materials at favorable terms.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, 3+ years in food manufacturing purchasing, and strong negotiation skills. Proficiency with ERP LN Info System and MS Office is a plus, along with GMP/HACCP knowledge.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field as listed in the ad.
3+ years of experience in a buyer/purchaser role in food manufacturing.
Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and QMS standards.
Multilingual proficiency: English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin.

Responsibilities

Assist Head of Purchasing in overseeing daily operations of the Purchasing Department.
Handle day-to-day purchasing activities following company policies.
Plan, source, and negotiate with suppliers for best prices and terms.
Identify new suppliers and evaluate supplier performance.
Collaborate with Admin & HR to ensure timely supplier payments.
Maintain records, reports and procurement analytics.
Oversee local supply chain for raw materials and packaging.
Research market trends and currency fluctuations to inform strategy.
