Job summary

Brooks Automation Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. seeks a Procurement Engineer for contract manufacturing to drive end‑to‑end sourcing of mechanical build‑to‑print parts, OEM components, and standard items.

You will review engineering drawings, BOMs, and supplier capabilities to secure reliable supply while optimizing total cost of ownership. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in procurement within precision manufacturing, strong GD&T knowledge, and proven negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical field.
• 3–5 years procurement experience in precision machining, mechanical assembly, or CM environment.
• Strong technical understanding of GD&T and machining processes.
• Proven negotiation skills to drive cost reductions and favorable terms.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and supplier audits.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement for mechanical build‑to‑print parts, OEM components, and standard items.
• Review drawings, specs and BOM to ensure accurate sourcing and supplier capability alignment.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to localize sourcing.
• Lead supplier audits, capability assessments, and cost/lead-time benchmarking.
• Cultivate supplier relationships to ensure on‑time delivery, quality and responsiveness.
