Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a purchasing and inventory planner to support plastic product category. You will handle inquiries, manage local and overseas purchasing, liaise with suppliers on pricing and delivery, and monitor stock levels across warehouses/outlets.

You will also analyze sales, margins, and market trends to inform pricing, promotions, and product performance reporting. 1–3 years experience is preferred with strong Excel and ERP familiarity.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in business, marketing, supply chain, procurement or related field.
• Minimum 1–3 years relevant experience in purchasing, merchandising, sales support or product management.
• Experience in retail, wholesale, trading or plastic products is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, problem-solving and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries, orders and sales follow-up.
• Manage local and overseas purchasing, including purchase orders, payment requests, shipping and import documentation.
• Liaise with suppliers on pricing, stock availability, lead time and delivery schedules.
• Source and evaluate new products and suppliers.
• Monitor inventory levels and plan stock replenishment and transfers between warehouses/outlets.
• Analyse sales, margins, market trends and competitor/e-commerce pricing.
• Support pricing strategies, promotions and vendor rebate negotiations.
• Monitor slow-moving and excess stock and recommend appropriate actions.
• Manage new product onboarding, SKU creation, costing and sales projections.
• Prepare sales, inventory and product performance reports.
