Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Asia Recruit Sdn Bhd is representing a well-established metal-related manufacturing company in Kapar, Klang, seeking a Senior Purchasing Executive to support procurement activities, supplier management, and material sourcing.

You will source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, manage end-to-end purchasing, and ensure timely production material availability while complying with company policies and regulations. Mandarin ability is compulsory.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Business Studies, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in a project-based manufacturing or assembly environment.
• Experience in furniture and fittings industry is an added advantage.
• Mandarin/Chinese language ability is compulsory as need to deal with suppliers from China.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best value in terms of cost, quality, and delivery, in line with project timelines.
• Manage the end-to-end purchasing process from purchase requisition to purchase order and delivery, ensuring timely availability of production materials.
• Coordinate with suppliers on delivery schedules, non-conforming parts, and warranty claims.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and monitor their delivery punctuality and quality performance.
• Support the project team in obtaining up-to-date cost information from suppliers.
• Ensure all purchasing activities are in compliance with company policies, procedures, code of ethics, and relevant laws and regulations.
