Job summary

WIKA INSTRUMENTATION (M) SDN. BHD. is seeking a Production Planning professional in Malaysia to plan, update, and maintain the master production schedule based on customer orders, forecasts, and inventory levels.

The role requires coordinating with production, sales, suppliers, and logistics to ensure timely delivery and feasible production plans. The candidate will evaluate capacity, manpower, and constraints, adjust schedules for urgent orders, monitor OTD and inventory turnover, and maintain

Responsibilities

• Plan, update and maintain the entire production schedule based on customer orders, forecast and inventory level.
• Release work orders based on customer requirements, delivery schedules, material availability and production capacity.
• Liaise with production, sales, suppliers, warehouse and logistics team to align production & delivery schedule.
• Evaluate machine capacity, manpower availability, and production constraints to establish realistic and achievable schedules.
• Review and manage high runner production items stocking plan; propose raw materials/components stocking necessity to sourcing buyer.
• Adjust schedule proactively to handle urgent orders/supply chain disruption, manage order expedition and order change.
• Monitor on-time-delivery (OTD), capacity utilization and inventory turnover.
• Update and report master production schedule.
• Track work order status, identify delays or bottlenecks and implement schedule adjustments to minimize disruptions.
• Access urgent orders, changes in customer requirements, and production priorities, ensuring appropriate adjustments to the master schedule.
• Maintain accurate work order information in ERP production schedules, planning records and order status updates.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning accuracy, production flow, resource utilization and scheduling efficiency.
