Job summary

MAPA Gloves Sdn Bhd in Ipoh, Malaysia, is looking for a Production Planner to coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly schedules, ensuring on-time delivery and optimal resource use. The role collaborates with operations, procurement, warehouse and quality teams to keep production flowing.

The ideal candidate holds a diploma/degree in a related field, with 3+ years in production planning, and is proficient in Excel and SAP.

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in supply chain, production/operations management, business, manufacturing, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in production planning in manufacturing.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and SAP.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Ability to handle pressure and tight deadlines; detail-oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels.
Coordinate with production supervisors to ensure schedules are feasible and aligned with capacity.
Adjust schedules proactively based on machine breakdowns, manpower shortage, or urgent orders.
Review material availability and generate material requisitions to avoid stock-outs.
Work with Procurement to ensure timely arrival of raw materials, packaging, and components.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock balance to support continuous production.
Analyze production performance, efficiency, and capacity utilization.
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly planning reports.
Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions to improve planning accuracy.
