Job summary

O-I BJC in Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Planner to develop and manage annual maintenance plans across reliability disciplines. You will use CMMS to schedule and issue work orders, coordinate with teams, and lead weekly pre-planning meetings to publish plans.

The role requires 3–5 years in industrial maintenance with at least 2 years in planning or coordination, and proficiency in CMMS, Excel, and Word. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of direct industrial maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in maintenance planning, scheduling or coordination.
• Proficient in CMMS and familiar with maintenance planning and work order management.
• Good understanding of mechanical systems, maintenance practices and safety procedures, including LOTO and PTW.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage rolling annual maintenance plans for all disciplines within Reliability.
• Utilise CMMS to develop, schedule and issue maintenance work orders and manage planning activities.
• Develop single-cycle maintenance plans and address reliability issues through data analysis.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to determine weekly maintenance plan inclusions.
• Lead weekly pre-planning meetings to review and publish plans.
• Manage procurement and availability of materials for planned activities.
• Coordinate contract labour for specialized maintenance work.
• Provide training and technical support on CMMS and planning processes.
• Analyse maintenance data to identify improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
