Job summary

MR DIY International is seeking a Senior Assistant Manager, HR Business Partner to partner with business leaders, HR COEs and HR Operations to deliver key HR priorities and drive HR transformation in a fast-paced retail environment in Malaysia.

The role emphasises HR process architecture, continuous improvement, change management, and employee relations to strengthen the employee experience and organisational effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5–8 years of HR experience, preferably as HRBP or generalist.
• Experience in retail, FMCG, hospitality or similar fast-paced environments is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of core HR processes, employee relations, performance and talent management.
• Experience in HR process improvement or HR transformation projects is advantageous.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation and problem‑solving skills.
• Good knowledge of Malaysian employment practices and labour legislation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to understand priorities, workforce needs and people challenges and translate them into people solutions.
• Design, review and document core HR processes, workflows, SOPs and guidelines; drive improvements across HR operations.
• Support rollout of HR initiatives, systems and digital solutions; enable change management and user adoption.
• Advise managers on employee relations, performance, attendance and other people matters; ensure fair and consistent HR practices.
