Job summary

Shopee is hiring an FP&A Lead in Malaysia to drive budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across our ecommerce operations. You will own the P&L for the business unit, partner with Business, Logistics, and Operations teams, and deliver insights that shape strategic decisions.

Seek a professional with 5–8 years in FP&A or related fields, strong Excel/Sheets skills, and experience in data visualization (Power BI) with leadership capability to mentor analysts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in FP&A, analytics, or strategy roles.
• Experience in e-commerce, tech, logistics, or high-growth environments preferred.
• Proven track record of owning P&L and driving business performance.
• Excel/Google Sheets data handling; SQL/Power BI experience a plus.
• Leadership experience with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and budgeting with department heads to set targets.
• Own the P&L for the business unit and monitor KPIs like GMV, take rates, fulfillment costs.
• Build and maintain financial models to simulate scenarios (market entries, pricing, subsidies).
• Conduct ROI analyses on initiatives and evaluate feasibility of strategic plans.
• Prepare dashboards and presentations translating data into actionable insights for leadership.
• Improve forecasting methods and automate reporting workflows.
• Mentor and manage a team of analysts, fostering performance and curiosity.
