Job summary

Nera Tech in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is seeking a Finance/Accountant to maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. The role involves preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow monitoring.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of experience, strong knowledge of accounting principles, and proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce (MBA or CA Inter is a plus).
• 2–4 years of experience in a finance or accounting role. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP).
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Mandarin and English for communication with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Reconcile bank statements and ledger entries.
• Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
• Monitor cash flow and provide regular updates to management.
• Support audit activities and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Ensure timely filing of tax returns and compliance with statutory requirements (GST, TDS, etc.).
• Assist with financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
