Job summary

Smiths Detection is seeking a Factory Planner for its manufacturing operations in Malaysia. The role focuses on production planning, inventory management, and capacity planning to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders.

You will collaborate with Production, Supply Chain, Logistics, and regional teams to optimize factory resources and support business growth. The candidate will manage master schedules, monitor inventory health, and drive improvements across planning processes and performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, supply chain, operations management, or related field.
• APICS certification is preferred.
• MBA or additional business qualifications are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, inventory and capacity.
• Own the 13-week Master Production Schedule and ensure lead times and safety stock.
• Balance demand, materials, and capacity to meet commitments.
• Coordinate with Sales, Production, Shipping and Regional teams to align on orders and delivery.
