Job summary

OSRAM OS Penang invites an experienced Employee Relations professional to lead internal investigations, manage disciplinary processes, and represent HR in audits and labor relations matters. You will coordinate with HR partners, prepare separation schemes for selected staff, and ensure policy adherence across the site.

The ideal candidate has a HR degree, at least five years in Employee/Industrial Relations, strong knowledge of Employment Act 1955 and IR Act, and excellent communication in

Qualifications

• Degree in Human Resource or equivalent.
• Min 5 years of experience in Employee Relations and Industrial Relations with knowledge of key acts (Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967, Trade Union Act 1959).
• HR Management/Industrial Relations focus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English and Malay.

Responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end internal investigations raised via grievance channels.
• Manage Progressive Disciplinary Action: warnings, suspension, show cause, dismissal letters.
• Represent to Labor and Industrial Relations for unfair dismissal claims.
• Liaise with site HR Business Partners for Mutual Separation Scheme prep and delivery.
• Facilitate Supervisory Engagement Sessions on HR policies quarterly for People Managers.
• Partner with ER leader to mitigate union intervention risks.
• Serve as the single point of contact for Joint Working Council activities.
• Represent ER in annual audits (RBA, customer, ITTF) with policy sharing.
