Job summary

BERJAYA MUTUAL BERHAD seeks a seasoned Head of Distribution & Strategic Partnership to lead the company’s distribution strategy, drive AUM growth, and oversee key relationships across retail, wholesale and institutional channels.

The role focuses on expanding unit trust funds, wholesale funds and private mandates through various channels, while developing new partnerships and enhancing channel productivity via sales, marketing and alliance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Marketing, Investment, or related discipline.
• Possess UTC license registered with FIMM.
• Capital Markets Services Representative's License (CMSRL) or relevant capital market certifications preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in asset management, unit trust, or investment product distribution.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive distribution strategies to achieve AUM growth targets across retail, wholesale, and private mandate businesses.
• Identify, develop, and onboard new distribution channels to expand market reach and increase products penetration.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with IUTAs, CUTAs, Licensed Financial Planners, Banks, licensed digital platforms, and other distribution partners.
• Recruit, develop and build productive agency networks comprising UTCs and MRs.
• Drive profitable sales and fund inflows through effective engagement with distributors, advisers, and investors.
• Develop channel-specific growth strategies and incentive campaigns to maximize productivity and market share.
• Develop and manage strategic partnerships with key distribution partners, institutional clients, trustees, and investment consultants.
• Lead, mentor and develop the distribution team to achieve sales, revenue, and AUM targets.
• Monitor sales and distributor performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Investment and Strategy, Risk and Compliance, Operations, Customer Services and Finance teams on fund positioning, launches, and product enhancements.
