Job summary

YS JAYA CONSTRUCTION SDN BHD is seeking a procurement professional to manage cost forecasting, tender documentation, and supplier relations for multiple construction sites in Malaysia. The role involves tracking design changes, budgeting, and coordinating payments to subcontractors and suppliers.

The successful candidate will source materials, enforce procurement policies, maintain supplier data, and travel between sites as required to ensure timely purchases and project alignment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project
• Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
• Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly
• Procure or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project
• Measure and value the work done on site and prepare claims
• Select and/or source construction materials
• Timely payment to subcontractors, vendors, suppliers etc.
• Preparing budgets and other documents.
• Keeping track of materials and ordering more when required
• Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with clients
• Traveling from the office to various sites as required
• Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies.
• Following and enforcing the company's procurement policies and procedures.
• Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
• Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
• Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
• Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
